Thais Pupio is an award-winning Brazilian-born architect and designer renowned for her dedication to sustainable living.

Her passion for natural building drives her to create designs that engage the senses and foster harmony between the earth and its inhabitants.

Thais emphasizes the use of local, natural, and recycled materials to craft environmentally conscientious and aesthetically pleasing spaces.

With extensive experience in residential projects, she expertly guides them from concept to construction. One of her notable achievements is The Earthen Retreat house in Byron Bay, which has garnered multiple awards and been featured in esteemed publications such as The Local Project and Habitus Living.

Beyond her architectural work, Thais has expanded her creative pursuits into ceramics, currently developing a lighting and bathroom collection.

Thais earned her Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Planning in 2004 and a Diploma in Building Design in 2015.

In her projects she is committed to deliver well crafted, sustainable and innovative spaces, considering the total impact of each material through every step of its life.

Working close to her clients, the focus is always to put careful thoughts in how the space will be occupied through the seasons and how they can experience the spaces with joy to create a better life.
